Based in Traverse City Michigan and available worldwide – Influence Design Forum (IDF Studio) brings design professionals together to problem solve and help people, neighborhoods and entire communities build stronger places. IDF Studio is a multidisciplinary collective of professionals exploring creative idea-based placemaking through a comprehensive integrated approach to planning and design. Providing master planning and design for public and private clients IDF Studio explores the seams that make up the ecological and social context of landscape, art, culture and the built environment. Our Studio brings together a diverse group of designers, planners, artists, scientists, engineers and policy makers to problem solve, innovate and research new ideas for the future. We understand that in today’s business climate, time and money matter. IDF Studio was founded on the idea that “we can’t do it alone” and by building a Collective of Members rather than maintaining a large staff we can provide our clients with better, more cost-effective design for the future.
IDF Studio is guided by the belief that our philosophy is every bit as important as our design – the philosophy that we can be motivated through advocacy and collaboration with our clients can spark new design ideas. The most successful project approach is created when people are actively engaged throughout the process. We help coordinate decision makers, their constituents and funding agencies by developing valuable and cost effective tools to communicate the project’s intent and goals. Visualization and illustrations, cost projections, phasing and funding matrices, design workshops and visioning sessions are some of the tools frequently utilized by IDF.
Space is Downtown Traverse City's first Co-Working Studio - a workspace that brings together independent, like-minded thinkers that tend to be nomadic by nature.
SPACE Coworking supports IDF as it continues to evolve and expand its focus on design - by bringing together architecture, interior design, and planning with the visual arts, film, product design, photography, advertising, print, and graphic design. The goal of all of this? To create a studio that can provide a seamless approach to design developing new ideas for the future.
